Low-Intensity R-Wave Therapy for Erectile Dysfunction
What Is Low-Intensity R-Wave Therapy?
Low-Intensity R-Wave Therapy (R-wave) is the first treatment made available for erectile dysfunction (ED) caused by impaired blood flow. The procedure involves applying pulsed acoustic energy waves to the penis in order to induce new vascular growth. The result is improved blood flow and natural erectile function.
What Is Involved in R-Wave Treatment?
During treatment, R-waves are transmitted to the penis using a hand-held device. Sessions take place in our comfortable R-wave suite, last approximately 15 minutes and are scheduled twice weekly for three weeks. R-wave is a safe and well-tolerated procedure with no downtime, no restrictions in activity and no side effects.
How Soon Will I See Results After My R-Wave Treatment?
Some men begin to see improvement in their natural erectile function within a week or two of beginning their course of therapy. According to studies evaluating treatment with Low-Intensity R-Wave Therapy, study participants saw significant improvement in their natural erectile function within four to six weeks after the conclusion of the six-treatment course.
Who Is a Good Candidate for R-Wave Therapy?
R-wave therapy may not be right for every form of ED. The best candidates are men who have ED due to reduced blood flow and those who have a response to medications such as Viagra (sildenafil) or Cialis (tadalafil).
How Much Does R-Wave Treatment Cost?
A course of therapy includes six sessions in three weeks and costs $1,800. Please note that R-wave is an elective procedure and is not covered by insurance.
